Birmingham City are back at St. Andrew’s today playing Rotherham United. Here is a predicted starting XI for the Blues-
GK- Neil Etheridge- The summer recruit from Cardiff City kept a clean sheet on his debut last weekend against Swansea City.
RB- Maxime Colin- He is now in his fourth season with the Midlands club.
CB- Harlee Dean- Birmingham’s captain will be looking to lead his teammates to all three points against Rotherham this afternoon.
CB- George Friend- The former Middlesbrough defender has made a decent impression since joining on a free transfer in the summer.
LB- Kristian Pedersen- He will start again for the Blues against the Millers.
CM- Ivan Sunjic- The Croatian midfielder is set for a big season under Aitor Karanka’s guidance.
CM- Adam Clayton- He knows what it takes to get promoted to the Premier League and looks to be a shrewd signing for Birmingham.
RM- Ivan Sanchez- Birmingham brought him in over the summer from Elche and he could make his third start today.
CAM- Jon Toral- The ex-Arsenal and Hull City man may get the nod again for Karanka’s men. He is back at St. Andrew’s after spending the 2015/16 season on loan there.
LM– Jeremie Bela- The Frenchman scored the winner on the Blues’ opening day win over Brentford and will be eager for the same again against Paul Warne’s side.
ST- Lukas Jutkiewicz- He is likely to start ahead of new signing Scott Hogan. The experienced striker will be looking to replicate the 15 goals he scored last season.
