According to a report from the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace’s proposed move for Brentford playmaker Said Benrahma has been hijacked by Fulham, who want to bring the Algerian star to Craven Cottage before the end of the window.
Since Brentford’s defeat in the play-off final to Fulham earlier this summer, star man Said Benrahma has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.
While Ollie Watkins has completed a move to Aston Villa, Benrahma has been linked with a shot of sides but is yet to complete a move away from the Bees.
Crystal Palace are among the sides credited with interest, while West Ham have also been linked. Now, it is claimed that a new side has entered the chase.
Fulham are rumoured to be showing interest in Benrahma, with the Cottagers said to be looking to hijack Crystal Palace’s proposed deal for the playmaker.
In 46 Championship appearances last season, Benrahma scored an impressive 17 goals and laid on 10 assists for Brentford. It is no wonder his form has attracted so much transfer interest, with a whole host of Premier League sides linked over the course of the summer.
Overall, Benrahma has played in 91 matches for Brentford, finding the back of the net 28 times and providing 27 assists for his teammates.
