It will be an eagerly awaited match-up at Pride Park this Saturday as Philip Cocu’s men await the arrival of Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers side.
The Sky Bet Championship campaign of 2020/21 is only two games old but it has been two games of mixed fortunes for both sides. Home side Derby County have lost both their games; losing 2-0 to Reading then 2-1 to Luton Town.
Blackburn come into the game on the back of a resounding 5-0 thumping of newly-promoted Wycombe Wanderers who are still finding their feet at this level. Rovers first game was an exciting, see-saw battle with relegated Bournemouth in a game the Cherries won 3-2.
Over the last six games between the two sides, it is Blackburn who hold the advantage over Derby. The Lancastrians have won four of the last half-a-dozen games to one Derby victory and a draw.
These six games have seen Blackburn score 6 goals and Derby 4. Last season saw both sides with a victory each, Derby winning in March 2020 by a 3-0 margin at home against a Rovers side reduced to 10 men. It was a narrow 1-0 victory for Blackburn against the Rams in December 2019 at Ewood Park.
Best Bets
There are a number of bets that are available and might appeal; here are a selection of them according to the Wincomparator football odds:
