1) Blackburn v Wigan
A Lancashire derby at Ewood Park on Saturday contesting two teams who want and need to be up in the play offs come May. It’s been a slow start for Blackburn and Wigan who currently sit 14th and 12th respectively in the league, both sides have played five, won two, drawn one and lost two. Blackburn’s defence last season was noticeably weak conceding on many occasions, unfortunately it would seem that Rovers have continued were they left off last season as they have conceded ten times in five games (only Huddersfield have conceded more). What tends to help Blackburn out is there prolific strike force, maintaining Jordan Rhodes in the summer transfer window is massive for Blackburn. Both sides have found the net eight times each so far this season, both Lancashire sides know how to find the net, both will be wanting to kick start their campaign after a slow start.
