FANS OF THE WEEKEND: Coventry City
It couldn’t go to anyone else, Sky Blues fans packed into their stadium for their return to the Ricoh Arena and it was a sight to behold. An attendance of 27,306 was still off of their 32,000 capacity but a generous allocation to the away side and safety restrictions prevented them selling out but if they could, they would have.
The fans were in party mood all evening and they were rewarded when loanee Frank Nouble scored what turned out to be the winning goal after 10 minutes against Gillingham. The game might not have been that much of a spectacle but regardless, it’s delightful to see the club back where it belongs and long may the party continue.
