The72 Football League Weekend Awards: Week 4

GAME OF THE WEEKEND: Watford 4-2 Huddersfield Town

Vicarage Road hosted a top affair this weekend full of goals, mishaps and even a red card to boot. Troy Deeney popped up with the only goal in the first half before Harry Bunn equalisied just after the break. Almen Abdi was gifted a goal to give Watford the lead back, Murray Walker pulled Huddersfield level again before a moment of madness saw Gabriel Tamas pick up his second booking on 65 minutes.

A great header from Keith Andrews put Watford 3-2 up before Abdi killed off the contest, scoring as the Terries piled forward late on. Added into that the Gomez show described earlier, you can tell that this was an incredibly entertaining affair even though Beppe Sannino decided to call it quits a day after the game. It’s a bit of a blow with the Hornets playing so well, if they get the right man in this team could be battling for an automatic spot this season in a competitive Championship.

Oxford’s 3-3 draw against Dagenham was also an impressive game that deserves credit for an top back-and-forth contest but could the cameraman be a little less erratic next time?
