McGoldrick in demand

Both Leicester City and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick before the transfer window closes, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper are reporting that Leicester City have already put a £5 million bid on the table, but the Tractor Boys are said to have put a £7 million price tag on the 26 year old.

McGoldrick did not feature in Ipswich’s weekend fixture against Derby County, with boss Mick McCarthy admitting that the striker is close to leaving Portman Road.

McCarthy told the press,

“A Premier League club comes in for you and you can go back home and live in your own house, with more money, it would distract me as well,”

McGoldrick has made 52 appearances for Ipswich and has scored 21 goals during his spell with the club.
