Match-fixing probe: Former FL player charged with bribery

Former Football League player Delroy Facey has been charged with conspiracy to commit bribery.

Facey, who was originally charged in November 2013 in relation to the on-going match fixing investigation by the National Crime Agency, will now appear in court on Tuesday.

The Crown Prosecution Service’s Organised Crime Division has deemed prosecution in the public interest and says the prospect of conviction is ‘realistic’.

The striker played for a number of Football League club’s including Notts County, Gillingham, Rotherham and Huddersfield.
