Reading starlet set to leave on a free – plenty of Premier League interest

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Reading’s attacking starlet Danny Loader is set to leave the club for nothing this summer, with Wolves among a host of Premier League sides said to be considering a move.

Last summer, Reading starlet Danny Loader was heavily linked with a move away from the Madejski Stadium. Wolves were interested in signing the youngster but a deal could not be reached.

Now, reports have emerged from Sky Sports claiming that Loader will now leave Reading for nothing. Loader’s contract with the Royals expires this summer amid the unprecedented situation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the club are said to have withdrawn their offer of a long-term contract to the young star.

Loader has been attracting interest from the Premier League since he emerged onto the scene at Reading. The 19-year-old is said to have previously been on the radar of Manchester United and Norwich City and it is now being said that a host of clubs will eye a move for Loader now that he will be available as a free agent.

In his time with Reading, Loader has played in 35 games for the senior side, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process. He has proven to be a prolific goalscorer at youth level, scoring 10 in 18 for the Under-18s and 19 in 38 for the Under-23s.

Now, with the latest developments regarding Loader’s situation emerging, it will be interesting to see who signs him up this summer.
