Manchester United help Bolton Wanderers by paying midfielder’s loan fees

Manchester United have covered the loan fees of ethan Hamilton for bolton wanderers, as per a report by the daily mail.

They have also done the same for Burton Albion for Kieran O’Hara and Hearts for Joel Pereira, saving the trio a combined £130,000.

United are helping to ease the financial pressure of lower league sides during the break from football.

Hamilton, who is 21 years old, has been on loan at fellow North-West side Bolton Wanderers since the January transfer window and has made 12 appearances in all competitions for the League One outfit.

The ex-Scotland Under-19 international joined United from Edinburgh-based side Hutchinson Vale, the same club Darren Fletcher started his career at.

Hamilton is yet to make a senior appearance for Manchester United but gained his first taste of first-team football on loan at Rochdale last season and bagged four goals in 14 games.

He then spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Southend United before switching to relegation rivals Bolton this past winter.

The Trotters are set to drop into League Two and United covering the cost for Hamilton’s loan will be a massive financial help.

It is expected to be a summer of transition at Bolton as they prepare for life in the bottom tier of English football, with plenty of comings and goings anticipated as they look to slash costs.

Hamilton had been a useful player for them before the season was halted and he will have to weigh up his next move this summer.
