Blackburn Rovers have rejected a bid from Hull City for striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Manager Gary Bowyer confirmed the Tiger’s interest in the Scottish international and the club have turned down a bid believed to be in the region of £8 million. Hull are looking to replace departed striker Shane Long, who left for Southampton for £12 million earlier in the window and are believed to have inquired about 6-8 strikers in different clubs across Europe.

Rovers will be looking to get more that the £8 million they spent on Rhodes back in 2012. The 24-year-old has 52 goals since his move from Huddersfield and is still part of the squad for Saturday’s game against Bournemouth, where he is set to make his 100th appearance for the club.
