Joao Teixeira
Liverpool loanee Teixeira made his debut for The Seagulls on Tuesday night against Leeds and was undoubtably the brightest spark on the pitch. Having spoken to Liverpool captain Steve Gerrard last week, under pressure boss Sami Hypia clearly felt something new was needed up front and in Teixera he certainly got that. The former Sporting man couldn’t have made much of a better start, slotting home after 2 minutes and grew in confidence as his team saw out the match. If Brighton are to aim towards those top spots, it looks like Teixera will be a main man for them this year.
