Five players Ben Garner could sign for Bristol Rovers this summer

Bristol Rovers boss Ben Garner will be looking to bring in some of his own players this summer. Here are five he could target-

Hiram Boateng, MK Dons- The midfielder is a player Garner knows from being a coach at Crystal Palace. Boateng, who is 24 years old, has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Dons this season and would bolster Bristol Rovers’ midfield options for next term. He had a spell on loan at the Memorial Ground in 2016.

Zeki Fryers, Swindon Town- He is another player who Garner coached at Selhurst Park. The former Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Barnsley man now finds himself playing in League Two for Richie Wellens’ Robins.

Kwesi Appiah, AFC Wimbledon- The ex-Palace, Cambridge United and Reading striker would give the Pirates more pace and options up front. He has been with fellow League One side Wimbledon for the past three seasons and has scored a combined 17 goals during that time.

Jack Fitzwater, West Brom- Garner will know him from his coaching role at the Hawthorns a couple of seasons ago. The centre-back has spent the past few years on loan at Walsall having also previously had spells at Chesterfield and Forest Green Rovers. He would add more options and depth to the Gas’ defensive department.

Kane Wilson, West Brom- He is another who the Bristol Rovers’ boss may target. The right-back is currently on loan at Tranmere Rovers and could be loaned out again by the Baggies next season for more first-team experience.
