Sky Sports pundit gives his prediction on West Brom vs Preston North End

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has given his prediction on the game between West Bromwich Albion and Preston North End in an interview on Sky Sports.

Preston travel to the Hawthorns in good form but know they will need to be at their very best to get anything from the encounter against the league leaders.

West Brom have won four of their last five games following a mid-season slump and go into the game in confident mood having beaten Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate in which they brushed aside their fellow promotion contenders.

The Baggies are nine points clear of third-placed Fulham and could build an even more sizeable lead this evening should they defeat the Lilywhites.

Preston have won three of their last five league games and occupy sixth place and are on course to claim a play-off spot if they continue their good form.

Sky Sports pundit Prutton gave his opinion on the outcome of the game saying: “I’ve been really impressed with the Baggies’ professional approach since their slump late last year and I’m certainly struggling to look past them for the title with 12 games left to play, but they’ll certainly miss Romaine Sawyers, who is suspended for this one.”

“Like their hosts, North End are in a rich vein of form. They currently occupy the final play-off spot and will no doubt have designs of finishing there or thereabouts come May, but I just think West Brom will have too much for them.”

Prutton predicts: 2-0.

Although Alex Neil’s Preston are in good form and should present a good challenge for West Brom, with their attacking prowess and experience they should prove to be too much for their opponents.
