QPR have extended the contracts of Ryan Manning and Bright Osayi-Samuel, as announced by their official club website.
The duo have seen their deals at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium extended until 2021, the end of next season.
Manning, who is 23 years old, has had an impressive campaign under Mark Warburton and has been linked with a couple of Premier League clubs over recent times. However, the Hoops have ended any uncertainty of his future for the time being.
He joined the London side in January 2015 from Galway United and has now established himself as a key player.
Osayi-Samuel signed for the R’s in September 2017 from Blackpool. He has chipped in with six goals in 28 games in all competitions so far this season and will no doubt have clubs monitoring his progress.
QPR’s director of football, Les Ferdinand, has said, as per their website: “Exercising the option to extend the deals of Ryan and Bright is recognition of how well they have done for us over the past three years. They have both worked incredibly hard to become important members of Mark Warburton’s squad, and as such they are valuable assets to QPR.”
“When you are signing young players the contracts need to be long enough to protect the club while not too long that they can potentially take away their incentive to progress. The extra one-year option which we have triggered gives us that ability to do both.”
Next up for QPR is an away trip to promotion hopeful Nottingham Forest this weekend.
