QPR to cast eye over free agent striker Marco Ramkilde

QPR are handing a trial to free agent striker Marco Harboe Ramkilde, according to London Football News.

The Hoops are set to cast an eye over the youngster with a view to making a move for him.

Ramkilde, who is 21 years old, is available having previously been on the books of Danish Superliga side Aalborg Boldspilklub (Aab). He left at the end of their 2018/19 season when his contract expired and has been weighing up his options ever since.

The 6ft 2inc forward rose up through the youth ranks of Aab and was called up to their first team in 2016. He made his senior debut in May 2016 in a league fixture against Odense Boldklub and was tipped for a big future in the game.

Ramkilde has since gone on to make six appearances and has chipped in with a single goal before parting ways from the Aalborg Stadium. He has represented Denmark from Under-16 to Under-19 level so far in his career and has played in youth European Championships.

QPR have some bright young talents in their ranks and have proven to provide a pathway for youngsters to get to their first team, such as Ebe Eze and Illias Chair becoming key players this season.

Ramkilde could be a man for R’s fans to keep an eye out for the future if he impresses on trial. Mark Warburton’s are currently 16th in the Championship, 12 points above the relegation zone and the same amount away from the Play-Offs.
