Huddersfield Town turned down a £15 million bid for striker Karlan Grant in the transfer window, as per a report by the Examiner Live.
The Terriers managed to keep hold of their key man last month and rebuffed an attempt by an unnamed club to lure him away from Yorkshire.
Grant, who is 22 years old, has scored 13 goals this season for Huddersfield and has been a key reason why they have managed to climb away from relegation danger.
The Championship side paid £2 million in January 2018 to sign Grant from Charlton Athletic and that has proven to be an inspired piece of business.
Danny Cowley’s side had a busy January window and signed Richard Stearman, Harry Toffolo, Andy King and Emile Smith-Rowe.
The Terriers’ boss has spoken about the move for Grant, as per the Examiner Live: “It was a huge offer and, rightly so, because Karlan is a top, top player who will go on to grace the Premier League in years to come – I have no doubt about that. We have to thank the chairman – luckily he is a supporter first and chairman second. I don’t think his bank manager was very pleased, but we were!”
