Over the weekend, Leeds United have been strongly linked with French striker Jean-Kevin Augustin to be an excellent option up front for the Whites, with some French outlets stating the deal was already done. But some fans were sceptical of being too confident initially.
The fans in West Yorkshire usually take the word of very few journalists when it comes to Leeds United, so they have been holding out for Mr Leeds United, Phil Hay of The Athletic, to either confirm or deny the rumours.
Well, last night, Hay moved to confirm the interest on both sides, but the deal wasn’t yet complete…

And finally, to everyone’s surprise, Leeds United have already confirmed the deal, with Augustin moving to Elland Road on an initial loan until the summer, with a view to a permanent transfer…

This is a major coup for The Whites, as Augustin is thought to be one of the best young strikers in Europe at the moment, so the fans should be applauding the hierarchy at Elland Road for their tremendous ambition in going out and getting one of Marcelo Bielsa’s top targets.
