Sheffield United defender Kean Bryan could be set for a move to Charlton Athletic or Huddersfield Town

Sheffield United defender Kean Bryan could be set for a move to Charlton Athletic or Huddersfield Town with Blades boss Chris Wilder open to allowing his departure according to Football Insider.

The Championship duo are both looking to add defensive reinforcements to aid their chances of steering themselves away from the relegation zone.

The centre-back is valued at around £750,000 by United, who signed him on a free transfer from Manchester City in the summer of 2018 but he has so far failed to make an impact and force his way into the starting XI.

Bryan has 18 months remaining on his contract after arriving from the Manchester City and signing a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old has made just three appearances for the Blades this season with their outstanding defensive record preventing Bryan from being able to get involved in first-team action on a regular basis.

In fact, such as been the impressive nature of Sheffield United’s season so far, Bryan hasn’t even made a matchday squad in the Premier League. John Egan, George Baldock, Chris Basham, Enda Stevens and Jack O’Connell have formed a formidable defence which is amongst the best in the division.

Charlton and Huddersfield are aware of their need to improve in defensive areas with Danny Cowley’s side in 20th place, five points above the drop zone, while Lee Bowyer’s side are one place and one point ahead of them.

Although Bryan hasn’t had regular football in recent seasons he would still provide a good option for the Championship duo.
