Manchester United make huge bid in excess of £30million for Birmingham City wonderkid Jude Bellingham

Manchester United have made a huge bid in excess of £30million for Birmingham City wonderkid Jude Bellingham according to Sky Sports News.

The Red Devils have been pursuing the teenager for much of this January transfer window with a view to a potential deal for the Midlands born midfielder.

Bellingham is currently just 16-years-old and is only earning scholar’s wages although he is set to sign his first professional contract in the summer when he turns 17-years-old.

The box-to-box midfielder has enjoyed a hugely impressive campaign thus far and is also attracting interest from European giants Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

He has made 25 appearances so far this season and has been one of the first names on the Blues teamsheet with him earning rave reviews from pundits and his manager Pep Clotet.

Birmingham City are under pressure to raise funds having been docked nine points last season for breaking EFL financial rules and although they earned a £15million fee for the sale of Che Adams to Southampton they are once again under pressure to sell players.

Bellingham is a versatile young player who plies his trade predominantly in midfield but can also play out wide or even upfront. The Blues academy graduate has scored four league goals this season but it’s his work rate and quality on the ball which is making him such an attractive prospect.

His versatility and ability to adapt at such a young age has caught the eye of top clubs in England and Europe and Blues have a huge job on their hands to retain one of the brightest, young talents outside the Premier League.
