QPR set to seal deal for Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke

QPR are expected to complete the loan signing of Jack Clarke from Tottenham Hotspur today, according to a report by West London Sport.

The Hoops are set to see off plenty of other interest from Championship sides to land the winger on loan for the rest of the season.

Clarke, who is 19 years old, spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Leeds United but was recalled by Spurs earlier this month due to a lack of game time.

Jose Mourinho is eager for him to go out on loan until the summer to get some more experience under his belt and it appears he is on his way to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Spurs signed Clarke in the summer from Leeds for a fee of £10 million but loaned him back out to Elland Road as part of the deal. However, he found himself frozen out by Marcelo Bielsa and played just once in the league.

Clarke was born in York and rose up through the youth ranks with the Whites before making his senior debut in October 2018 in a league fixture against Brentford.

He went on to make 25 appearances last season under Bielsa, chipping in with two goals to help the Whites get in the Play-Offs.

The pacey winger is an exciting young talent and could be a shrewd signing by QPR if they can get the deal over the line today. He offers the London side more competition and depth out wide.
