Lincoln City poised to snap up young Arsenal hotshot Tyreece John-Jules on loan

According to a report from The Independent, Lincoln City are set to complete a loan deal to sign Arsenal’s young striker Tyreece John-Jules on loan until the end of the season.

Michael Appleton is in his first transfer window as Lincoln City manager and he has already re-shaped his squad somewhat. Callum Connolly’s loan spell was brought to an end and Irishman Zak Elbouzedi signed from Waterford.

Now, it has been reported that after adding an attacking midfielder in the form of Elbouzedi, the Imps are also close to adding a new striker to Michael Appleton’s side.

The Independent has reported that Lincoln are set to add to their attacking options as well. Arsenal’s young striker Tyreece John-Jules is apparently on the brink of joining the League One side until the end of the season, with the Gunners keen for him to get some experience of senior football.

John-Jules is a highly-rated talent at Arsenal and the club are keen for him to head out on loan with first-team chances unlikely at the Emirates Stadium. The 18-year-old striker has been a prolific scorer for both the club’s Under-18s and Under-23s in coming through the academy, netting 17 goals and providing six assists in 25 appearances in the Under-18s and scoring 18 goals and laying on seven assists for the club’s Under-23s.

John-Jules is reportedly not the only imminent loan signing at Sincil Bank, with Football Insider reporting that West Ham’s young midfielder Conor Coventry is also set to join the club until the end of the season.
