Inter Miami want to sign former Sunderland loanee Lewis Morgan from Celtic, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

David Beckham’s club are in the hunt for signings and have identified the pacey winger as someone they want to bring in before their Major League Soccer debut season this year.

Morgan, who is 23 years old, has made 18 appearances for Celtic so far this term but only five have come in the league. He has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot under Neil Lennon since he took over at Celtic last year from Brendan Rodgers.

Morgan played in the academy at Rangers as a youngster before joining St Mirren in 2013. He went on to become a massive player for the Buddies and played 118 games for them altogether, scoring 29 goals along the way.

Celtic signed him on a long-term deal in January 2018 but immediately loaned him back out to St Mirren Park before he joined up with the Hoops that summer.

Morgan was loaned him out to Sunderland for the second half of last season due to a lack of game time with the Glasgow side. He played 22 games for the Black Cats, chipping in with two goals under Jack Ross.

Morgan will now have a big decision to make over his future with a possible move to America on the cards for him.

Miami kick-start their season in February and are hoping to have Morgan playing for them on the flank.
