Speaking to Football Insider, former England international striker Darren Bent has urged Leeds United to make a loan move for Liverpool’s sought after striker Rhian Brewster in the January transfer window.
In the run-up to the January transfer window, Leeds United are one of the many sides to be linked with a move for Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster. The young striker has been linked with a move away from Anfield on loan this January, with sides from the Premier League and Championship said keen.
Fellow Championship side Swansea City have been linked with a move for Brewster, as have Premier League pair Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. Now, former England striker Darren Bent has said that Leeds should make a swoop for the youngster. He said:
“Yeah most definitely. He needs to get games, he is a quality centre-forward, good on the ball so would be a good signing. It’s a no-brainer if they’re willing to let him go out on loan and Leeds would be perfect for him with them near the top of the Championship.
“He’ll go in there, play, help them get promoted, and if he does help them get promoted who knows next season he may end up getting a permanent move to Leeds and that could really kickstart his Premier League career.”
