According to a report from Turkish news outlet Fotospor (as cited by Sport Witness), Nottingham Forest playmaker Joao Carvalho is on the radar of Super Lig side Trabzonspor, who are reportedly lining up an offer for the 22-year-old.

We covered reports here on The72 last week claiming that Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor were interested in Nottingham Forest playmaker and record signing Joao Carvalho. Now, reports from Turkey have claimed that Trabzonspor are planning on making an offer for the Portuguese playmaker.

It is said that Trabzonspor value Carvalho at €10 million and they are looking to replace Yusuf Yazici – who left the club to join Lille in the summer transfer window – with Carvalho the man they want to fill the gap left by the Turkish playmaker.

Trabzonspor are said to be keen to pursue a deal that would initially see Carvalho join the club on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, with an obligation to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan spell.

Carvalho has been used as more of an impact sub in the first half of the Championship season, making 13 appearances in the Championship – six of which were from the start and seven coming off the bench. The 22-year-old has provided one goal and one assist along the way, helping Forest to 5th place in the Championship table.

He arrived at the City Ground last summer for a club-record fee of just over £13 million. Since then, Carvalho has played 55 times for the club, scoring five goals and providing nine assists along the way.
