Coventry City favourites to land League Two midfielder

Coventry City are leading the charge to secure the signing of Cheltenham Town star Aaron Evans-Harriott, according to reports.

Mark Robins’ side  have been linked with a move for the highly rated teenager and according to Gloucestershire Live, via Coventry Live, they will be the club to sign him in January.

Championship side Barnsley and Premier League title-chasers have also been linked with Evans-Harriott who made history by becoming Cheltenham Town’s youngest ever player in 20 years after coming off the bench to appear in the EFL Trophy in September 2019.

At 17 years and 22 days old he became the youngest player to appear for the Robins in the Football League era after being introduced to the fans during a 4-3 win over West Ham United’s Under-21 side.

The youngster, whose nickname is Bubbles, has progressed through the ranks after initially starting out in the club’s academy and his potential as a player has earned him a host of admirers.

He has been with Cheltenham, who are currently 4th in League Two, since signing for the club’s Under-9 side and he has also played for Wales at Under-15 level.
