The Standard Liege forward has scored seven goals in 18 games so far this season and is a key member of their team but they could be willing to allow him to leave should their valuation of around £3million be met.
Emond, who is the captain of the Belgian outfit, has helped guide Liege to third in their division and Leeds could be on the lookout for a new striker should on-loan Arsenal man Eddie Nketiah be recalled to the Emirates in January.
The Canaries are also looking to add some much needed firepower to their squad with only Teemu Pukki supplying the goals on a regular basis as they look to try to climb out of the relegation zone and maintain their top flight status.
Pukki’s eight league goals are more than half of Norwich’s total and they will need to add other options if they are looking to stay in the division.
As well as Leeds, fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest have also been watching Emond with the view to making a bid as they look to step up their efforts to achieve promotion with them currently on course to obtain a play-off place.
Should Leeds lose Nketiah, they would be left with just Patrick Bamford as their main senior striker and they would be wise to ensure this wouldn’t affect their race for automatic promotion.
The Whites will be desperate to get over the line after the disappointment of last season when they lost to Derby County in the play-off semi finals and Emond could enhance their chances of promotion.
