West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu has issued a message to the rest of the Championship, claiming that their ‘quality is starting to tell’ as reported by the Express & Star.

Robson-Kanu scored his sixth goal of the season in Sunday’s 5-1 thrashing of Swansea City and is one of a number of players in fine form going into the hectic Christmas period.

The Welshman believes that their impressive run of form is proving that their quality is beginning to shine through and only bodes well for the rest of the campaign.

“I am getting into good positions but more importantly the ball is coming to me which is nice,” he said. “It was an unbelievable ball from Matheus again. One-on-one with the keeper I back myself.”

“The defenders were coming in quite quick for my goal and it was just about getting the first touch right and putting it in the bottom corner as I did.”

“Goals change games and we worked hard to get the two-goal lead, then they came back into it so it could have been a nervy time but I think that’s when we showed our quality and that is what we have got in the team.”

The 30-year-old is reaping the rewards of great team performances and he explained how confidence is currently sky high at the Midlands side.

“I think it is up there with one of our best performances of the season,” he reflected. “We want to keep building on what we are doing.”

“There is more in the tank and if we can apply ourselves for the whole 90 minutes, we are definitely going to hurt teams. It is about maintaining that now and kicking on in the league.”

“Confidence is high. Everyone is working hard and we are back on the training pitch tomorrow preparing for the next game.”
