Hull City will be keen to bolster their squad in January and they look to close the gap on the Play-Offs. Here are five players Grant McCann could target-

Herbie Kane, Liverpool- The Tigers were heavily linked with the central midfielder over the summer but a move never materialised. He spent last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers under McCann and impressed in League One. Could Hull reignite their interest in him this winter?

Jack Marriott, Derby County– McCann knows the Beverley-born striker from Peterborough United. He has scored just once in 17 appearances this season having struggled to hit the ground running. However, a change of scene to the KCOM Stadium could be ideal for him.

Gwion Edwards, Ipswich Town- Another who the Tigers’ boss knows from the Posh, the former Wales Under-21 international would offer the Championship side more options out wide. He may be tempted by a move up from the third tier.

Kieran Sadlier, Doncaster Rovers– He has been in decent form this term for Donny having chipped in with seven goals. McCann had him at both Peterborough and at the Keepmoat Stadium last season and could look into bringing him to East Yorkshire.

Rhian Brewster, Liverpool- Hull could do with another striker next month and the teenager would be ideal. He is in need of some first team experience and the Premier League table toppers are open to letting him depart. Swansea City have been linked with him.
