Hull City winger looking for positive response against Stoke City

Hull City winger Josh Bowler is looking for a positive response against Stoke City today.

The Tigers take on the lowly Potters side and are keen to bounce back from their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Barnsley at Oakwell last weekend.

Bowler, who is 20 years-old, is currently on loan at Grant McCann’s side from Premier League side Everton and has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Championship outfit.

He has spoken to their official club website ahead of their clash against Stoke this afternoon: “Today’s game against Stoke City is something that we have been keenly awaiting all week as we look to bounce back from what happened at Barnsley last Saturday.”

“It was such a disappointing result for us at Oakwell given the performance and result we had against Preston North End three days earlier. That 4-0 win against Preston showed the quality that we have and the levels that we can reach, but we know that we must find the consistency to go with it.”

He added: “We go into every game with the belief that we can win, but we all know what the Championship is like and every team is capable of turning over another on any given day. Sometimes you have those days when things just don’t click from minute one and it was a really disappointing afternoon for everybody involved.”

“It was a setback for us but we can’t dwell on it because we had been in good form going into that game.”
