“Nothing has been decided yet”- Hull City defender unsure of future on loan at St Mirren

Hull City defender Sean McLoughlin is unsure of his future on loan at St Mirren.

The 23-year-old’s loan deal with the Scottish Premiership side is due to expire in January.

McLoughlin, who is an ex-Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, has made 15 appearances for the Buddies in the league.

He joined Hull City over the summer from Cork City but was immediately loaned out to Scotland for more first team experience.

McLoughlin has spoken about his future, as per a report by the Daily Record: “My loan ends in January and when the time comes it’s about sitting down and discussing what’s next. Nothing has been decided yet and for myself and the club it’s about focusing on the next few weeks and the important games coming up. That’s the priority.”

“I’ve come in and after only a few days I was straight into the team. It’s about adapting and learning on the job. I’m enjoying it as what you want to do is play games.”

He added: “I just want to keep playing games, whether that’s here or wherever. I’ll focus on that for the next few weeks and then sit down and have discussions. There are games coming up that we definitely know we can win. We are playing a couple of teams like Hamilton and they become six pointers.”

McLoughlin is due to return to the KCOM Stadium next month and the Tigers have a decision to make on what to do with him for the rest of the season.
