Luton Town and Forest Green Rovers interested in Aldershot Town midfielder

Luton Town and Forest Green Rovers have both been credited with an interest in Aldershot Town midfielder Ethan Chislett.

The 21-year-old is catching the eye of clubs higher up the football pyramid, as per Luton Today.

Chislett, who is highly-rated by Aldershot, has made 22 appearances for the National League side in all competitions and has chipped in with five goals.

He only joined Danny Searle’s side in July but they are already facing a battle to hold on to his services this winter after his impressive start to the season at the Recreation Ground.

Chislett started his career in the Shots’ academy but left at the age of 15 to have spells as Basingstoke Town and Metropolitan Police before returning to where it all started in the summer.

Luton are currenlty 21st in the Championship and a point above the relegation zone. They face a major test in staying in the division this term and will be in the hunt for some reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window.

Although Chislett is a promising talent, his first team opportunities at Kenilworth Road may be limited in the second tier.

Therefore, he may favour a move to League Two side Forest Green. Mark Cooper’s side are 2nd in the league and a point behind Swindon Town at the top.

The Green have shown to be a great place for young players to play their football in the Football League and with a promotion to League One in their sights, could Chislett opt for a move to New Lawn?
