Birmingham City have today confirmed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder David Davis for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal at St Andrew’s, becoming Lee Clark’s 11th signing of the summer.
Davis had fallen out of favour at Molineux and was not included on the club’s pre-season tour of Ireland. As such, that the midfielder was granted permission to leave the club and Clark secured the player’s services.
He will be seen as a replacement for Tom Adeyemi, who sealed a move to Cardiff last week. Davis has many of the same characteristics as Blues’ short-lived vice captain, combining power and agility at the heart of midfield.
Davis’ last Wolves appearance came in February but Blues fans may recall his impressive performance at St Andrew’s during the 2012/13 season , excelling in a match Wolves won 3-2.
