3 players that could replace Hartlepool’s Luke James if he signs for Peterborough United.

3. Mikael Mandron

There has been some apparent interest from Colin Cooper in the young Sunderland striker. And a loan deal would be the most likely option if Pools were to sign him. He too has had a good pre-season, netting in most of Sunderland’s pre season games – including against Carlisle United. He was on loan at Fleetwood Town last season so the League Two life wouldn’t be a new thing to him. As much as Pools would love Mandron, they need to accept that at League Two it is hard to attract players who want to stake a claim in their parent clubs first team in the future, so Mandron may look for a loan move more suited to himself, there has been interest from League One clubs to take him on loan.
