3. Mikael Mandron
There has been some apparent interest from Colin Cooper in the young Sunderland striker. And a loan deal would be the most likely option if Pools were to sign him. He too has had a good pre-season, netting in most of Sunderland’s pre season games – including against Carlisle United. He was on loan at Fleetwood Town last season so the League Two life wouldn’t be a new thing to him. As much as Pools would love Mandron, they need to accept that at League Two it is hard to attract players who want to stake a claim in their parent clubs first team in the future, so Mandron may look for a loan move more suited to himself, there has been interest from League One clubs to take him on loan.
