2. Connor Smith
The 17-year-old recently made his debut for Pools in a 2-0 defeat to Exeter City on the final day of the 2013/14 season, you could actually see a bit of Luke James in him. Very energetic and a lot of pace in him, looks as if Colin Cooper is prepared to use Smith this season as we look to create the next Luke James. Like Jonathan Franks, Smith too has also featured a lot in pre-season and has had a good pre-season under his belt having scored a hat-trick in Hartlepool’s opening pre-season friendly in which they beat Billingham Town 9-0.
