MANAGER REACTION: Queens Park Rangers 0-4 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest ran out comfortable winners at Loftus Road against a ten man Queens Park Rangers side last night to move up to fourth in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Queens Park Rangers had Lee Wallace dismissed in the 50th minute of the game when the score was 1-0 to the visitors, and Forest took full advantage of that from the 80th minute onwards, netting three goals in the final 10 minutes to secure an emphatic win.

Speaking about BBC Radio London (via BBC Sport) about the game, QPR boss Mark Warburton felt that the red card was a key turning point in the game.

He said: “I thought the red card was exceptionally harsh, I’ve watched it back four or five times and I see what I thought was a yellow card, and it changes the dynamic of the game. We were in that game until the 81st minute and I can defend us as a group of players and staff up to the 81st minute, from there on that’s not QPR.”

“Basic schoolboy errors, poor backpasses, missed clearances, missed headers, very, very poor goals to give away. We don’t get beaten at home full stop, let alone by four nil.

“The red card was not the cause of conceding three late goals, however it had to change the dynamic of the game, we’re one man down chasing the game.”

In the other dugout, Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi enjoyed his Wednesday night trip to London.

“I’m so proud about this result and this performance,” he said.

“The second goal was really important as with one more player we could defend and wait until the end of the game. We played offensively, we played at times quickly and we missed some easy passes, but it was a great result and a great performance.”
