Peterborough United starlet on the radar of eight Premier League clubs

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Peterborough United’s 17-year-old attacking starlet Ricky Jade-Jones is attracting from eight Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Spurs.

Peterborough United starlet Ricky Jade-Jones has started to make his breakthrough into the first-team picture at London Road. And, given his impressive start to life in senior football, a number of Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old starlet.

It has been reported previously that Spurs have held an interest in Jade-Jones, with reports claiming that the Premier League side have had a bid of £2 million rejected for the young forward. Now, it seems they could be set for a fight if they want to bring him in during the January transfer window.

The Daily Mail has said that Manchester United, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester City, Southampton and Burnley have all taken an interest in Jade-Jones, with the latter mentioned Southampton and Burnley said to have been in attendance for his first League start against Burton Albion this weekend.

Jade-Jones has been highly rated at the Posh academy for some time now, having first joined the club at the age of nine. So far this season, he has made four appearances, netting two goals, coming in the FA Cup against Stevenage and in the Leasing.com Trophy vs Cambridge United.

Posh will not be willing to sell Jade-Jones on the cheap, given that he is one of the club’s most exciting prospects in recent years, so it will be interesting to see if any Premier League sides are willing to stump up the cash to bring the youngster in.
