An updated five potential candidates for the Grimsby Town job

Grimsby Town remain looking for a new manager to replace Michael Jolley. Here is an updated five potential candidates for their vacant position-

Kevin Nolan- The former Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United and West Ham United midfielder is the front runner for the job. He has previously managed Notts County and Leyton Orient and could get back into management with the Mariners now.

Anthony Limbrick- He is currently in caretaker charge of the League Two side and was assistant to Jolley. He has previously worked at Woking, West Ham and Southampton in the past and could be under consideration for the full-time role.

Pete Wild- His name has appeared in the running for the Grimsby job. The current FC Halifax Town boss is doing a decent job in the National League. He has managed in the Football League with Oldham Athletic.

Chris Hargreaves- The former Torquay United manager started his career at Grimsby as a youngster before going on to have spells at Hull City, Northampton Town, Brentford and Oxford United. He is currently the academy manager at Bristol Rovers. Could he be tempted by a return to where it all started for him?

Robbie Stockdale- He is available after leaving his role as assistant manager of Hibernian last month. The 39-year-old ended his playing career with the Mariners before becoming a coach for them. He then left in 2012 for Sunderland where he spent six years.
