Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has said that he is not in football to make friends and that he is currently not friends with any managers in England.
The comments come after he received heaps of praise from Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray just a number of weeks ago, as well as Luton Town’s Graeme Jones following Saturday’s game against the Hatters.
Bielsa has guided Leeds United to second place in the Sky Bet Championship table following a Play-Off Semi Final defeat last season, and the Elland Road club’s performances this season have drawn a lot of praise from rival managers.
And while the Argentine boss has said it is nice to be praised, he admits he has no friends in management.
Speaking with The Mirror, Bielsa said: “I don’t have friends in management but I value a lot what the Blackburn manager said about Leeds. Also I give more value to what he said about my behaviour.”
“The Luton manager, I see how every colleague reacts when you lose two minutes before the end of a game and in his reaction I realise the integrity of the guy. In general, what I have noticed regarding opposing managers are the positive things they have said about the work we are doing here.”
