Earlier today, the72 reported that Derby County were interested in signing Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet.
The French forward has scored 12 goals in Sky Bet League One so far this campaign including five goals in his last four games. His performances have seen him recognised as one of the best strikers outside the top two divisions, and several clubs in those top two divisions have now become interested in securing his signature.
Gnanduillet is out of contract with the Fylde Coast club next summer and second tier clubs are now looking to acquire his services according to reports.
The fact that he is out of contract in the summer will allow clubs to potentially get him in January on a cheaper deal. Blackpool will be extremely interested in trying to tie him down to a longer deal at Bloomfield Road, but if Sky Bet Championship clubs come calling it could be hard to keep hold of him.
The 27-year-old joined Blackpool originally in August 2016, spending two years at the club before moving to South African club side Baroka. He lasted just two months in South Africa before returning to Blackpool.
He impressed for the Seasiders last season as well, and was the club’s top goal scorer with 14 goals in all competitions.
Prior to his time on the Fylde Coast, Gnanduillet has played for a number of clubs in England. He has featured for Chesterfield, Tranmere Rovers, Oxford United, Stevenage and Leyton Orient.
He has also represented Ivory Coast at under 20 level.
