Earlier today, the72 reported that Manchester United were interested in signing central defender Ben White, who is currently on loan at Leeds United from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
Man United are not the only club reportedly interested in signing White, with Premier League leaders and European Champions Liverpool also said to be in the running to sign the young defender.
To say that he has impressed for Leeds United this season is an understatement. The fact that he is being linked with a number of high profile moves shows that.
He has received praise from a number of former Leeds United stars that have watched the club this season, with many saying he is one of the best central defenders that has played for the Elland Road club for a long time.
His team mates have also given him plenty of credit for the club’s form, with Liam Cooper saying how much he is enjoying played alongside the Brighton man.
Believe it or not, this is the first time White has played at this level. Prior to his loan spell at Leeds United, he spent time in the lower leagues, featuring in a promotion push in Sky Bet League One last season for Peterborough United.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony had hinted in the summer that the club had shown interest in getting him back, but the player was determined to play at a higher level, and so far he is proving that was the right decision.
By the looks of things, it doesn’t look like it will be long until he is playing at the very highest level.
