4 things we learned about League 2 this weekend

Things have changed for Northampton and Wycombe

AinsworthAfter finishing last season in precarious positions (albeit ones that left them safe from relegation), both Wycombe and Northampton will be hoping that this season will be different for them and they have both started in the best possible way. Wycombe travelled to Wales to lock horns with Newport County and they came away with an excellent 2-0 win thanks to goals from Peter Murphy and Paris Cowan-Hall, which they will hope sets them off for a more successful season. Northampton started at home against Mansfield and won 1-0 thanks to a header for on loan winger Kaid Mohamed. If Northampton and Wycombe can build on their opening day win early on in the season then they are sure to avoid another relegation battle this term.
