Manchester United are eyeing up a shock double transfer of Leeds United star duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White according to Football Insider.

Both Phillips and White have been in outstanding form so far this campaign for the Whites and there had already been speculation of their interest in Phillips and it now appears they are looking to acquire on-loan Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White as well.

Man United’s assistant Mike Phelan has reportedly already sent scouts to watch Phillips and was extremely impressed with the star midfielder. White has attracted interest from Premier League leaders Liverpool who were believed to be looking to offer around £20million for the defender.

Phillips only signed a new long-term deal at Leeds back in September but his future could depend on whether or not Marcelo Bielsa’s side are promoted back to the Premier League this season. Should the Red Devils offer a huge fee for the Leeds academy graduate it could test their resolve if they fail to win promotion.

There is a release clause in his new deal which can be triggered should the Whites remain a Championship club next season.

Both Phillips and White have been sensational for Bielsa and have started in all 16 of their Championship games so far and their dazzling form has not gone unnoticed by the elite of the top flight.

Man United are looking to recruit further British talent and add this to their ranks and White and Phillips would very much fit the bill for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
