Huddersfield Town and Preston North End keeping tabs on National League hotshot

According to a report from Football League World, Championship pair Huddersfield Town and Preston North End are both keeping a watchful eye on Boreham Wood forward Kabongo Tshimanga, amid his strong form in the National League.

With the January transfer window now just under two months away, clubs are putting together their recruitment plans and sending scouts out to try and find new talents to come in and bolster their squad. Now, it has been claimed that both Huddersfield Town and Preston North End are dipping into the non-league market to try and find new talents.

It has been reported that Boreham Wood striker Kabongo Tshimanga has caught the attention of the pair, with the Championship duo keeping a close eye on him ahead of the January transfer window.

Tshimanga, 22, has enjoyed a thoroughly successful first half of the National League season, scoring 11 goals in 20 matches for Boreham Wood, who currently sit in 15th place so far. He only joined the club form Oxford City in the summer transfer window but after his electric start to the season, he may not be spending much longer with Boreham Wood.

A product of the MK Dons youth academy, Tshimanga has spent time out on loan in both non-league and in the Football League, spending time out on loan with the likes of Aldershot Town and Yeovil Town while at MK Dons, as well as a brief stint in Iceland with Throttur Reykjavik. Since leaving MK, the striker has played for Boston United, Oxford City and Boreham Wood.
