Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Cameron Dawson is a man in-demand.

The stopper is attracting interest from Rangers, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End, according to a report by the Sheffield Star.

Dawson, who is 24 years-old, is out of contract with the Championship side at the end of this season.

The former England Under-19 international joined his boyhood club as a youngster and rose up through the youth ranks at Hillsborough.

Dawson has played 43 times for Wednesday so far in his career having mainly been used as a back-up.

He has gained first team experience out on loan with the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Alfreton Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Chesterfield.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk has commented about expiring contracts in his squad, as per the Sheffield Star: “When I next sit with the owner, we will have those discussions and discussions about other things. Players find themselves in all different sorts of situations in my experience.”

“If it is a case of where some of them are out of contract, it is their job to perform and earn a new contract. They have to do it with a real strong mentality and show us what they have got. But, of course, you would like to sort those situations out as quickly as possible but that will be done with the club’s blessing. Right now, I am not focused on that.”
