Hull City duo complete moves to Gainsborough Trinity

Hull City youngsters David Robson and Billy Chadwick have both joined Gainsborough Trinity on loan.

The duo have joined the non-league side on one-month deals, as announced by the Tigers’ official academy Twitter account yesterday.

Both Robson and Chadwick will be looking to get some first team experience under their belt.

Robson, who is 17 years-old, is a highly-rated goalkeeper and has represented Wales at Under-17 level in the past.

Chadwick, on the other hand, has also risen up through Hull’s youth ranks and has been the subject of various non-league sides over the past few months.

Gainsborough play their football in the Northern Premier Division and came 6th last season.

They are managed by ex-Tigers midfielder Curtis Woodhouse, who was appointed earlier this month. He has wasted no time in using his contacts at the KCOM Stadium to bolster his newly inherited squad.

Woodhouse, who is from Beverley, has previously managed Sheffield FC, Goole, Hull United, Bridlington Town and Tadcaster Albion. He is hoping to guide Trinity up the league table this season after a difficult start.

Hull have various youngsters out on loan such as Jacob Greeves and Max Sheaf at Cheltenham Town, Lewis Ritson at Blyth Spartans and Harvey Cartwright at Barton Town with the future looking bright for the Championship club.

Grant McCann will be keeping a close eye on Robson and Chadwick’s progress at Gainsborough.
