According to a report from Gloucestershire Live, Peterborough United are among the sides interested in Cheltenham Town winger Ryan Broom, who has enjoyed a thoroughly successful start to the season in League Two.
23-year-old winger Ryan Broom has played an important role in Cheltenham Town’s strong start to the season. With the club currently sat in 2nd place in the table, Broom has played in 13 games, scoring six goals and making a number of assists for his teammates.
And now, it has been revealed that Peterborough United are taking a liking to Broom, with Gloucestershire Live revealing that Posh boss Darren Ferguson watched over the Robins’ 3-0 win over Macclesfield Town on Tuesday night, in which Broom netted his sixth of the season. While Posh are the only team named in the report, it is said that they are not the only team keen on Broom.
His form has previously seen him linked with a move away from Cheltenham Town, previously catching the attention of League One side Burton Albion. But after putting pen to paper on a new deal in the summer transfer window, Broom has got his head down and performed well. His strong start to the season has not gone unnoticed by Robins boss Michael Duff, who has moved to praise Broom, saying:
“He deserves all the credit he’s getting, Broomy. But the difference between this year and last year, he had three or four good games and his head got turned a little bit. Now I think he’s realised you have to stay on it all the time because if you come off it, someone else will take your place.”
