Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, Derby County’s Specialist first-team coach Liam Rosenior has said that he believes midfielder Krystian Bielik can “go right to the very top level” of football having impressed him since his arrival from Arsenal in the summer.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, highly-rated Polish player Krystian Bielik was subject to significant transfer interest from clubs in England and in Europe, but he ended up making the move to Championship side Derby County for a club-record fee.

It was a difficult and busy summer for Bielik but since his arrival, Rams’ specialist first-team coach Liam Rosenior has said that he has seen enough from him to make him believe that he can make it at the very top of the game. Rosenior said:

“I think with his athletic and technical capability, he can go right to the very top level, that is why we signed him. It has been a difficult period for him. He didn’t have a pre-season, he didn’t train with Arsenal, he was on his own working hard, he also had the Euros. So he did not have an ideal preparation for the season.

“You saw that in the fact that we didn’t play him in the first few games, then we played him at centre back, and then played him in the midfield. I think Krystian throughout the season will get better and better, and strong when he has a full run of games, and when he knows the position that he is playing in.

“I think everyone can see the qualities that he has. There are not many players with his physicality that can play technically the way that he does, and I think he is going to be an outstanding signing for us moving forward.”
