Predicted Millwall line up as Lions prepare to take on Bluebirds

Millwall are back at The Den on Tuesday night for the first of two matches on their own ground this week.

Cardiff are the visitors to SE16 this on Tuesday night. The last three meetings between the sides have ended in draws – there have been only two goals scored in the last three meetings between the Lions and the Bluebirds meaning another even contest is expected on Tuesday night.

The hosts are looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Brentford – a game in which they lead 2-0 after 84 minutes. The players will be looking to impress as it is expected the appointment of Gary Rowett will be confirmed ahead of the game with the former Derby and Stoke boss watching from the stands.

Neil Warnock’s side come into the game sitting 11th in the table, four points adrift of the play-off places and have only won once on the road so far this season. Warnock is yet to find a settled side following relegation from the Premier League last season.

Millwall have no new injury concerns ahead of the game.

Ryan Leonard is out with a knee injury, while Frank Fielding continues his recovery from a thigh problem. Jiri Skalak is back in full training but is unlikely to feature against the Bluebirds on Tuesday night.

That all means that Caretaker manager Adam Barrett could stick with the same side that lost at Brentford on Saturday, although the likes of  Matt Smith, Aiden O’Brien and Connor Mahoney will all be pushing for start. Alex Pearce will also be looking to force his way into the side.

Predicted Millwall team

Bialkowski; Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, M Wallace; J Wallace, Williams, Molumby, Ferguson;  Thompson; Bradshaw
