Stoke City have won back-to-back games after seeing off Fulham at the Bet365 Stadium.

Goals from Tyrese Campbell and Lee Gregory handed the Potters a valuable three points and have eased more pressure off manager Nathan Jones.

Stoke have risen off the bottom of the Championship above Barnsley but are still two points inside the relegation zone.

They travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night looking for a third straight win on the bounce.

Jones was delighted with his sides’ performance yesterday against Fulham and told Stoke’s official club website after the game: “I thought tactically we were very good today. Fulham are a wonderful side, they really are. There are a difficult team to play against – you have to be very disciplined, right at it, and ride your luck at times – but I thought we were very good today.”

“I thought we defended superbly well and first half we were excellent. We went 1-0 up and should have probably been further ahead because Tyrese (Campbell) had a great opportunity and then the keeper has made a great save from Joe Allen. I thought we looked a real threat.”

He added: “Second half we had to concede a little bit of territory, press them a different way, make one little tweak to the shape and were able to see out the game superbly well. If you score at home you expect to one, not to the lose the game, but two, to win it and that’s what we did today.”
